Today I’m sharing the Lake George NY Engagement session of John and Samantha. Samantha was one of our 2016 engagement session giveaway winners and we were so happy to document this time in their lives.

When I decided to move to my hometown of Bolton Landing, it was the beauty of the Adirondack Mountains and Lake George that drew me back. There are times when I miss the busy hustle of the DC area but then I’ll see a beautiful sunset or a mountain view that leaves me feeling like this is exactly where I need to be.

This was especially the case when I met Michael and Kelsey at Kelsey grandparents’ house for their engagement session. The gorgeous vista views of the mountains and the wooded area that Kelsey played in as a child added the perfect backdrop to their engagement session. It amazes me that no matter how long I live here, I always find some location that is even more beautiful than the last.

There are clients and then there are CLIENTS. These two were so much fun to work with that I wish they lived locally so I could work with them time and time again. They chose the lakeside home of a family friend in Brant Lake, NY to coordinate and host their wedding. Every detail, from the handmade barn wood arbor to the personalized fans and the chris-craft wooden boat entrance to the ceremony, went perfectly together to create an amazing event. They had a classic wooden boat for their formal portraits which was just AH-MAZ-ING!

Nick and Lauren are Texas natives who decided to do their engagement session in NY while Nick is stationed with the US Navy locally. We started out in Empire Plaza in Albany then headed up to Congress Park in Saratoga, NY.

Howard and Edilene decided to have an intimate ceremony at The Fern Lodge in Chestertown, NY for close family and friends while Howard was home on leave. I was lucky enough to have the day available to capture a small piece of their love story. It always kills me when there are happy tears… and there were plenty during this ceremony. I may have been a little misty-eyed.

I was lucky enough to be chosen to photograph Phil and Nicole’s August 2016 wedding Maine so when they wanted to do their engagement session in Massachusetts we jumped at the chance! We started in the town they met and currently live in, Sommerville and then moved over to Boston Public Garden.

Rochester was the perfect location for this summer wedding. Corey and Audrey chose a historical hotel where Audrey’s grandmother held her wedding reception. They elegantly styled their wedding with carnival and milk glass, blush roses and personal touches that added to the beautiful timeless wedding of these high school sweethearts. www.ymphotography.com | YM Photography | […]
