Peter and Mariah decided to hold a micro wedding on one of the beautiful islands on Lake George. There surrounded by family and close friends, they said “I do”.
Definition: Micro weddings, also known as minimonies, are usually attended by anywhere from five to a few dozen guests; these smaller guest lists allow for proper social distancing protocols but still let a couple celebrate with their nearest and dearest.
Mariah chose Melody Manor in Bolton Landing, NY as her getting ready venue. We chose to do her getting ready mostly outdoors to ensure proper social distancing.
How beautiful are her flowers by local florist, Finishing Touches?!
The moms and peek at Mariah’s hair by Lake Shore Styles… the entire rest of the day Mariah fought crazy winds and her hair stood up to it beautifuly!
Once her getting ready was done, we were all shuttled to the island Peter and Mariah chose for their big day. Check out the view from their ceremony location.
The bride and groom brought water from the places they grew up, placed their rings in a jar then watered an evergreen which they will plant together.
After the wedding ceremony and a toast thanking all the guests, the newlyweds headed to the Algonquin Restaurant for their reception dinner.
We used the empty dock space at the Algonquin to take some less windy family portraits.
My favorite part of the wedding photography came up next! The couple’s romantic portraits!
Their amazing vendors:
Getting Ready and Lodging: Melody Manor
Ceremony Location: Phelps Island
Reception Venue: The Algonquin
Florals: Finishing Touches
Hair: Lake Shore Styles
