I feel in love with the Barn at Lord Howe Valley from the moment I saw it’s opening day add. Once I photographed my first wedding their I was hooked. That kind of also explains how I feel about Anthony & Jessica. Talking to them pre-wedding I knew they were my ideal kind of couple… from their Saratoga Apple orchard engagement session to every detail Jessica planned for her Adirondack wedding day… I was more and more excited to photograph their wedding the closer we got.

Jessica & Anthony both started their big day at the amazing getting ready barn at Lord Howe.

Hands down these were my fave bride/bridesmaid t-shirts of the season!

Jessica’s dress was just stunning! I mean… STUNNING. My brides this season really knocked dress choice out of the park! And how about this groom’s getting ready room?!

 

The First Look. Jessica opted to have her bridesmaids open the beautiful reception barn doors for the big reveal. Talk about a wow moment!

 

So many amazing details! Custom signs! Beautiful florals! And the list goes on and on.

 

The florals by Binley’s Florist were gorgeous! And perfectly complimented Jessica’s wedding palette!

This bride <dramatic pause> must have seen me eyeing this gorgeous tall grass and said “Hey! I’ll sit in the grass!”. I’m pretty sure I momentarily passed out at having my photographer dreams come true… but that sense of trust and being up for anything gets results like the following photo.

I love that they incorporated their engagement session photos into their reception decor.

Jessica’s father called me a few days before the wedding to let me know he was surprising her with fireworks (can we say “YAAAAASSSS!!!”). After I made sure I wasn’t dreaming… I thanked him for letting me know, hung up and immediately danced for joy. The night of the wedding I suggested to Anthony & Jessica that we go outside for a group shot… little did they know, we were just placing them for the show!

So what adds the cherry on top for me? Getting to work with Stephanie of Andy Pratt Professional DJ Service. She did not disappoint as she had everyone dancing all night long!
